Who am I?

I know that I aint perfect
I know that I aint that good looking
I know that I can be bratty at times
I know that I aint that rich
I know that I sometimes I follow my heart first rather than my mind
I know that I will fall in love quickly
I know that I that when I love, I',ll do anything to get her heart
I know that I'm the most vain among my brother and sister
I know that I have the wierdest taste in food
I know that I'm level headed
I know that sometimes I'm very snobbish
I know that I never finished a day without a mood swing
I know I'm very friendly
I know that my trust to a person is not gained in a snap, it must be earned
I know that I have too much self-confidence (which i'm not afraid to say)
I know I'm very adventurous when it comes to food and other things
I know I'm very picky when it comes to clothing
I know that I love cars, cell phones and other things
I know that I can talk about anything under the sun
I know that I love people that are open to me and people who are good listeners
BUT I know this for a fact...
GOD made me this way and I'm happy about it

Fashion show after Fashion show! I'm sick of it!

Thursday, February 16, 2006

The Student Council (SC), recently held B-Speak forum which aims to discuss the rights of the students of the school. Instead of the rights being discussed, the dress code and the technicalities of grievance filing. This resulted the B-Speak to be a B-Bust. The forum clearly failed to address the issues that were supposed to be discussed. What in the hell is the forum for? I mean, if they were to talk about the student rights, isn't it proper to leave the dress code issue behind? C'mon, tell me I'm wrong the dress code issue is too passe to talk about anymore. Masyado ng gasgas ang topic na yan! In the issue of the technicalities of grievance filing, it doesn't have any connection with what the forum is about. Isn't it enough for the SC to discuss the technicalities of grievance filing by going room-to-room (RTR).

I know that CSB has a Fashion Design Course (FDM), but hell! That doesn't mean SC should make one fashion show after the other. Maybe some of the fashion shows that they did were filled up and properly promoted, but who takes these fashion shows seriously? These fashion shows doesn't have a cause and can't solve any long-term problems that the Sc and the students are facing.

Where are the candidates who won who were trained by TAPAT? Akala ko ba ang training ng TAPAT ay kapag nakapasok sila sa SC hindi sila sasama sa takbo ng buhay ng mga taga-SC kapag mayroon silang nakitang mali sa mga nangyayari hindi sila magiging mediocre. [i thought that the training of the TAPAT candidates is when they won they would do their best not ot be sucked in the flow of the SC whenever there is something wrong.] Am I right? Where are those people who won and vowed that they would do their very best to get the students involved? "Where have all the cowboys gone?" Where are all those idealistic people that were trained by the other idealistic people? Nasan na yung mga nagsabi nung miting de avance na gagawin nila lahat para lang magkaroon ng student involvement? [Where are those people who, in the miting de avance told the public that they would do their best to get something that is called total student involvement?]

Power Vacuum, from the word Power and Vacuum, Power is defined as a possession of control, while Vacuum is defined as a space partially exhausted. These are two very combustable and very dangerous elements when combined in one room or one organization. Power Vacuum, keeps other factors out of their vicinity, in the case of the SC, these are the Political Parties (i.e. TAPAT). Political parties are there for a particular reason and that is to help them imporve the way they govern the school. Political parties are there to keep the balance in power inside a political organization (SC). The dissolution of the Student Political Parties inside the school, an imbalance occured. The candidates of the Political Parties got sucked in the midiocre state of the SC. Another reason why there is a power vacuum is the fact that the SC is overrun by frosh and sophomores. Why is it overrun by frosh and sophomores? It is because of the high qualifications that is needed for you to run for the higher positions of the SC. My sources inside the SC told me that they have created an legislation to lessen the qualifications of the future candidate who wants to run for the higher positions (EB).

The SC has a goal, to get total student involvement. It is a big, huge, gigantic, gargantuan goal for the SC to achieve. With their staff of 30, this can't be done. I predict when I graduate they will still have more fashion shows that will not solve anything and will not create any student involvement of any sort. Fashion shows, for what? for whom? why? Fashions won't solve anything! Those inside the SC if you can read this, can you please open your eyes? I'm sick and tired of all your fashion shows! First I was amused with your fashion show, then i got irritated, now I damn not pleased anymore! Another fashion show and I make a petition for the complete revamp of the SC. I guaran-damn-tee it! I don't care who you are and who your connections are! I don't give a damn! stop t he Fashion shows! Stop the Glam Fam of the SC! you are the representatives of the students! I'm not pleased with what is going on within your walls. Sorry if I'm too harsh, but I'm telling what has been keeping me irritated.
